VET CARE - Building Capacity and VET for Migrants Care Workers in Europe
Aim
VET CARE aims to provide practical and useful answers regarding qualifications for the labour market, in the segment of long-term care services, contributing for integration and social inclusion of migrants. Migrants are one of the major workforces in this area. VET CARE aims as well to transfer knowledge from different levels of stakeholders, contributing for implementing a logic of national/transnational cooperation and partnership in the sector.
Specific aims
- Identifying good practices developed at European level regarding formal and informal training on long-term care services;
- Contributing for a better knowledge and understanding of the migrant care workers landscape and training/qualification needs;
- Contributing to capacity building and upskilling of migrant care workers, within a logic of integration and social inclusion of vulnerable populations;
- Fostering cooperation among stakeholders from the care services sector that will allow to create suitable care work pools answering the needs of the labour market at European level.
