ROI - Return on Investment of Work Based Learning and Apprenticeships
Aim
The general aim of the project is to promote work based learning (WBL) and apprenticeships by making evident the benefits of WBL and apprenticeships to SMEs and to the society as a whole and by increasing SMEs awareness of the cost-benefit analysis deriving from work-based learning strategies. For that, the project intend to develop of a return on investment (ROI) model and a digital tool that will allow European SMEs to calculate how investment on WBL and apprenticeships can manifest to multiple benefits for the company itself and the local society.
The project will also develop a guide for attracting new companies in providing apprenticeships and work based learning, by illustrating good practices and successful examples collected by partners throughout the pilot experimentation.
Specific aims
- To develop a model for the calculation of ROI of WBL and apprenticeships targeted to SMEs;
- To create a digital online tool that will demonstrate in visual way the ROI model;
- To conceive a Good Practices Guide addressed to SMEs, giving guidance on how to design, implement and monitor profitable apprenticeship practices which can benefit the enterprise, the apprentice and the society;
- To create and promote an apprenticeship-friendly SMEs badge to increase the engagement of companies in the provision of WBL;
- To promote VET–SMEs cooperation, through experimentation and validation of the ROI model;
- To organise promotional events addressed to SMEs entrepreneurs, VET centres and stakeholders that are interested in applying and promoting the ROI model and the digital tool.
