Skills Enhancement in Retail
Aims
The project “Skills Enhancement in Retail” aims to address the issues and challenges limiting the commerce sector employability by improving and standardizing vocational education and training in the sector, contributing to increase competiveness, quality, motivation and mobility of employees at European level.
Specific aims
• To raise awareness for employment opportunities in the retail sector
• To set standards for the vocational training in the retail sector
• To create a “fundamental retail training” sustainable, updatable, extendable, configurable and compatible with distance learning
• To initiate a structure in order to setup Examination and Certification Centers
• To reduce the financial and time-consuming burden of retraining
• To extend the accessibility of the vocational trainings to all
• To upgrade vocational training at European level, therefore, to support the social and commercial mobility and understanding among stakeholders
