NEETS at Risk
Aim
The NEETS at Risk Project combines the development of an effective methodology to identify young people at risk of becoming NEETs (Not in Education, Employment or Training), an innovative intervention drawing on existing good practice piloted in Portugal, Italy and Spain to prevent young people with such characteristics from becoming NEET, and an impact analysis to measure the outcomes of these pilots at regional/national level.
The project aims to develop an effective front-end strategy to address the NEET issue within the EU, by focusing on prevention rather than remedial actions and supporting a “smoother” transition of potential NEETs from the VET system to the world of work.
Specific aims
• To identify the risk factors of young people to become NEETs and to identify possible intervention measures at local/regional/national level;
• To test/adapt a model of INDIVIDUALIZED targeting and TAILORED and FLEXIBLE intervention for young people at risk of becoming NEETs;
• To conceive a guide aiming to present the model, containing the methodological approach, reporting the results of the pilot test and the impact analysis;
• To evaluate the impact, provide recommendations and potential remarks for the sustainability of the methodology;
• To evaluate the quality of the project from the users point of view and the usability of the methodology proposed;
• To dissemination the project activities and main results at EU, national and local level.
